• Pets are allowed as long as they are people friendly, on a leash, and their owners must clean up after them.
• People who arrive in costume may carry weapons as long as they are piece tied.

The Robin in the Hood Medieval Festival was started in 2000 as the brainchild of local drama teacher DJ Carroll. DJ’s background in theatre, history and professional performance allowed him to pull together all of his talents to create something wonderful. By calling on his drama students, community members, professional performers, service clubs and other sponsors the first annual Robin in the Hood Medieval Festival was born.

Our festival promotes a family friendly environment to educate people about life in the middle ages. Audiences of all ages are dazzled by magic shows, knights in battle, jesters, musicians, jugglers, comedy and of course archery. We also have numerous merchants on hand selling jewellery, leather goods, armour, toys and other period novelties as well as a gypsy fortune teller.

The festival is a two day event which features and education day on the Friday where we have close to 1000 grade four students come out and learn about medieval life. These students rotate through a series of hands on workshops that allow a first hand look into history. Our festival day is on the Saturday where we open the park to the public and everyone is welcome to come and experience our shows, merchants, and food while becoming part of the on going plot for the day.
